October 3rd Update

Dearest friends and family, The countdown to the big day is on! Max and I are so thrilled to be seeing you all so soon. We wanted to give this final update on what to expect on the day of! Since our latest update, we have learned that you will in fact need to provide evidence of your vaccination status by way of the vaccine passport, unless you live outside of BC. Max and I are liable for ensuring that you have shown your vaccine passports. Our good friends Zac and Leigh have volunteered to help us scan our guests' passports upon arrival. They will be positioned outside of the ceremony. Please expect them and have your passports and identification available and ready for them as this will help speed up the process. If this is in any way an issue or challenge for you, please speak to Max or myself a few days before the wedding and we will be happy to support you. Zac and Leigh will also be providing you with drink tickets, which can be redeemed at the bar after the ceremony. We are so excited to see each and every one of you. We also really want to impress the importance of keeping everyone safe. We ask that if you are feeling unwell in any way, or have been in close contact with anyone experiencing symptoms of illness, to please stay home. We promise that in this case we will not be offended by your absence, and will thank you for the care you have taken to protect our loved ones. As mentioned previously, we will be asking guests to wear their masks while indoors, unless you are seated at your table. We will be doing everything we can to ensure that this event is both enjoyable and safe. In terms of dress code for the wedding, semi-formal or cocktail is appropriate, but we also want each of our guests to be comfortable. Wear something that makes you feel good, and keeps you at the right temperature. It is with confidence that we can say we will not be concerning ourselves with our guests' outfits, so please arrive feeling good and we will be happy. We will be both indoors and out throughout the wedding, and the weather can be unpredictable in Victoria. Comfort is most important to us as we hope you can all stay and enjoy the festivities for as long as possible. Many of you have asked about our gift registry. Your attendance is all that we ask, but for those of you who wish to gift us, we have two options. For those who would love to contribute directly towards our honeymoon, we would greatly appreciate that! For those of you who prefer a suggestion from our gift registry, we have linked one below. Next weekend will be one of the best of our lives, and we cannot wait for all of you to be a part of it. Your love and support means a lot to both of us and we are so excited to see you all. With love, Kelly and Max

September 10th Update

 Dearest friends and family,

Max and I are very excited to provide an update and the official plan for our wedding on October 10th. As you know, we have spent a great deal of time considering our options. We strongly considered postponing the reception portion of the wedding and hosting a family only ceremony. We considered this option because of how important it is for us for our guests to have a good time, while also being and feeling safe.

We are happy to share with you that we have found a plan that includes all of our guests that we feel will be both safe and fun. Our venue (The Inn at Laurel Point) has a large, heated, outdoor tented area that we were originally using to host our ceremony. The rest of the wedding was originally set indoors, which concerned us.

Our plan now is to host as much of our wedding outside as possible. Both the ceremony and reception will be outside. We will move indoors for dinner. After dinner, the dance floor will be outside under the tents.

While indoors, we are required to follow the same guidelines in place at restaurants. Guests will be required to wear their masks when not seated at their assigned table. During the outdoor portions of the wedding, guests will have the option to return inside to their assigned table if they wish.

It is important to note that our guests will be required to show proof of vaccination in order to attend. According to our venue and the Provincial Health Order, Max and I are responsible for confirming everyone's vaccination status. We ask you to please respond to this email confirming your vaccination status. We will also be required to confirm your status on arrival with your QR code or other methods valid in BC.  Knowing that our guests are all vaccinated will help us to feel safe and enjoy the day. If this is a barrier for any of you, please let Max and I know so we can find another way to include you in our special day. More information on vaccine passports can be found here: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/vaccinecard.html

Max and I have reached out to some of you already to discuss your preferences in regards to your seating, but we would appreciate hearing from you if we have not had a chance to reach out yet. Most of you are seated with members of your family or friend group already but if you would prefer to be seated with a smaller group, we can arrange a spot for you that is farther back and less crowded.

We do understand that the weather is unpredictable in Victoria and we have the potential to experience some impressive elements (from under the heated tents). We hope you will come prepared to dance with us in the wind, the rain, or the moonlight. Regardless of weather, we look forward to it being one of the best of our lives. It was heartbreaking to imagine getting married without our friends and extended family. We are beyond thrilled to be able to share our special day with all of you in person.

Thank you for being the important people in our lives and for supporting us as we become husband and wife.

Sincerely,
Max and Kelly

Kelly and Max at the Inn at Laurel Point, Victoria BC, October 10th 2021

Max Mosley and Kelly Munro are hosting their wedding at the Inn at Laurel Point in Victoria, BC on October 10th, 2021.

We are expecting that with the current vaccination schedule in place in BC, restrictions related to Covid 19 will likely be reduced by the date of our wedding on October 10th. In the event that restrictions have not been lifted, we will be postponing our wedding to a later date and will do our best to give everyone involved as much notice as possible.

The Inn at Laurel Point has a very good policy that enables you to cancel your booking reservation penalty-free up to 24 hrs before your reservation date. Please keep this possibility in mind when making travel plans.

We will be providing dinner and a reception following the ceremony and hope that you will all stay and dance with us for the evening. The dinner will be a buffet format, which hopefully will meet everyone's dietary requirements.  Please let us know if you have serious health related food restrictions and we will be sure to accommodate you safely.

We are so excited to be celebrating our love with all of our friends and family and cannot wait to see you all there!

Sincerely,

Max and Kelly
